Facilitated by artist Keegan Xavi with special guests Denise Nelson, Nicole Smith and Jake Virden - RSVP HERE
Join us for an evening of creative storytelling about The River and water. Curated by Keegan Xavi, this experimental piece weaves together stories, poems and dreams of Nicole M. Smith, Siouxpa Fly and Jacob Virden. These artists took separate walks along the Mississippi River intentionally exploring and experiencing the River on multi-sensory levels to activate mind and memory. Each walk was distinctly different but all three evoked histories of the land, our ancestral connections to water and messages from The River herself.
Following this meditative space, Keegan will facilitate a story circle addressing questions about what we can do for water, beginning with our own relationships to the Mississippi River.
