Compensation & Equity Statement
In full transparency, Water Bar is in the process of growing and fundraising for our core programs. We do not currently have the budget to support paid interns, but very much need to grow our team. These are unpaid internships that we hope to grow into paid positions by fall of 2019.
We recognize that unpaid internships privilege those whose economic and personal circumstances allow them to perform unpaid work. In an effort to make this internship more accessible, we invite fall interns to set a schedule that allows them to meet other work and family responsibilities, while also taking advantage of this opportunity to learn, grow, and build a network with an exciting organization. We also offer interns access to studio space, tools, and one-on-one mentorship with nationally-recognized artists and cultural organizers.
We encourage non-traditional students and others not pursuing higher education to apply! Fall interns will be given the opportunity to apply for paid positions that do become available before they are posted to our wider public network.
